We manage your Plesk servers from the panel down to the kernel: monitored around the clock, patched, and hardened to the level you want. Senior administrators respond to our monitoring alerts and your tickets, and when a site is defaced or a database corrupts, we perform disaster recovery and restore from backup. Server Surgeon has maintained Plesk servers for hosting companies since 2005, on distributions from Ubuntu and Debian to AlmaLinux and Rocky.

Everything your Plesk servers need, managed for you
Plesk server management is more than the panel: subscriptions and service plans, the extensions your stack depends on, and the Linux server underneath all of it. Server Surgeon runs the whole picture on whatever distribution Plesk sits on, from Ubuntu and Debian to AlmaLinux and Rocky, tuned and hardened the same way on each. Urgent tickets reach a senior administrator in 5 to 10 minutes, support has no limit, and management is a flat $65 per server per month. Moving from another server or panel? We migrate you with little or no downtime, usually just a few minutes at cutover.

What's Included
Our Plesk Server Management Includes
Our 24/7 monitoring watches your Plesk server and automatically opens a ticket when something needs attention. You and your team can also open tickets any time for support, maintenance, troubleshooting, or server changes. The queue is staffed day and night.
24/7 Server Monitoring
We monitor your Plesk server without pause, covering CPU, memory, disk, inodes, the RAID array, and the response of every service Plesk runs: the Plesk panel and sw-engine, Postfix, Dovecot, Apache, NginX, MySQL, MariaDB, PHP-FPM, BIND, FTP, and SSH. We also watch the Postfix mail queue for outbound-spam spikes. Custom website sanity checks, application probes, and port monitors are added on request, and the resulting alerts reach our Plesk server management queue instead of your phone.
Disaster Recovery
Disaster recovery is the highest-priority work in your Plesk Server Management. When there is a server compromise, a failed drive, a customer who deleted the wrong subscription, or a database dropped in production, we work without stopping until your data is back. We restore at whatever level the incident needs: a full-server rebuild, a single subscription, one database, or one mailbox. We pull from any backup you have, including the Plesk Backup Manager (local, FTP, or cloud storage like S3 and DigitalOcean Spaces), the provider’s snapshot, R1Soft, JetBackup, or our optional Linux server backup, and where severity allows we can often recover a hacked or crashed server without one.
Plesk Server Hardening
We replace Plesk’s own Firewall with CSF, since the two conflict, and run it with Fail2Ban jails tuned to your traffic and blocking brute-force attempts on the Plesk panel (port 8443), Postfix, Dovecot, FTP, and SSH; if you would rather keep Plesk’s own Firewall, we leave it in place and do not install CSF. We work Plesk Advisor’s security recommendations end to end, run ModSecurity with a maintained ruleset, and add ImunifyAV or Imunify360 for malware. The panel, mail, and every domain get SSL through the Plesk Let’s Encrypt extension or your own certificate. We harden SSH and DNS, patch the kernel, secure /tmp, /var/tmp, and /dev/shm, and run CloudLinux where you have it. We assist with PCI compliance on e-commerce servers. Hardening is optional. We recommend it to every customer, and if you have any concerns, we can discuss it first and apply all of it, some of it, or none.
Plesk Server Migrations
We complete Plesk server migrations with the lowest possible downtime. A final fast-sync runs just before the cutover, then DNS flips, and end users arrive on new Plesk server hardware without a status-page incident. We migrate Plesk-to-Plesk and other-control-panel-to-Plesk with the Plesk Migrator extension, and bare-metal-to-cloud from AWS EC2 to DigitalOcean or any source to any target. We also complete CentOS-to-AlmaLinux and CentOS-to-Rocky Linux distro migrations without losing customer data, and the hostname, DNS, mail, and SSL certificates cut over cleanly.
Apache & NginX Optimization
We tune NginX as the reverse proxy in front of Apache, the Plesk default, with proxy rules, caching, and the additional nginx directives a site needs. We size PHP-FPM pools across the multiple PHP versions Plesk runs per domain, so one busy subscription cannot starve the rest. We tune MySQL and MariaDB across buffers, thread cache, and slow-query hunting. We also enable HTTP/2, Brotli and gzip, an in-memory tmp, and Redis or Memcached object caching, and move MySQL data to NVMe where it is available.
24/7 Server Support
You get unlimited 24/7/365 ticket support for anything on your Plesk server: blocked outbound email and SMTP bounces, IMAP and Dovecot connection issues, SSL and TLS certificate renewals, slow WordPress sites and wp-admin lockouts, DNS, SPF, DKIM, and CNAME changes, firewall and ModSecurity rule updates, cron failures, .htaccess and file permissions, malware scans, reboots, outages, and any system administration task you can describe in a ticket. Standard tickets respond in ten to thirty minutes, urgent in five to ten. We do not cap tickets and we do not bill by the hour.
Linux Updates & Patching
We keep your Plesk server’s patch level current. Plesk Obsidian updates run through the autoinstaller on the release tier you want, with component and PHP upgrades staged and a rollback ready. We run OS package updates, notify you of reboots, and apply security patches for major Linux outbreaks promptly. We also handle MySQL and MariaDB version upgrades, including major-version moves on InnoDB and MariaDB Galera clusters.
Plesk Server Setup
When you need a new Plesk server, we build it in full: the Linux OS install, the Plesk panel install, our hardening baseline, and configuration of the services you will host. We deploy Let’s Encrypt for valid SSL on every domain and configure the hostname plus forward and reverse DNS. DNS templates are ready for every domain you add, with DKIM, SPF, and DMARC enabled on every mail domain. We migrate your existing websites, databases, and applications from the old server before the cutover.
Software Installation
We install from the Plesk Extensions Catalog and at the OS level. We install and keep current Docker, Git, Node.js, ImunifyAV, Cloudflare, the SEO Toolkit, and Advisor. Underneath, we provide the PHP versions each subscription needs with their FPM handlers, MySQL, MariaDB, and PostgreSQL for databases, Redis, Memcached, or Varnish for caching, and ClamAV for scanning. We add Java and Tomcat, Python, and Ruby where an app calls for them, along with most third-party Linux software that has an install path.
Email & Mail Server Support
We configure Postfix through Plesk’s Mail settings, setting mail authentication (SPF, DKIM, DMARC) and per-subscription outbound limits so one hijacked account cannot torch your IP reputation. We also handle Dovecot IMAP and POP3, Roundcube webmail lockouts, SMTP relay and smart-host setup, SpamAssassin and mail-queue triage, DNS records, mailbox quota issues, bounce-loop diagnosis. These are the everyday mail tasks hosting companies forget to ask for until they break.
And More...
We also handle Plesk root work, subscription and reseller plan changes, DNS zone work, SSH access management, cron jobs, certificate installation and renewal, firewall rule changes, .htaccess and file permissions, log file analysis, and WordPress and wp-admin recovery. The quick jobs and the long ones get the same attention.
Inside the Panel
How we handle day-to-day Plesk server administration
Plesk server management runs on two levels, and we work both: the Plesk panel your customers and resellers log into, and the Linux server underneath it as root. We follow your lead on both, so the configuration work — building or adjusting Service Plans and add-on plans, scoping reseller accounts to the limits you set, and handling subscription creation, suspension, quota, and traffic — happens when you ask or when a ticket calls for it, not as changes we make to a working setup on our own. That is the per-subscription model Plesk is built around.
Each domain runs the PHP version and FPM handler it needs, with NginX in front of Apache as a tuned reverse proxy, and the Plesk Let’s Encrypt extension keeps the panel, mail, and every domain on a valid certificate.
From the Extensions Catalog we install and maintain what your stack calls for, including Docker, Git, Node.js, ImunifyAV, Cloudflare, the SEO Toolkit, and Advisor, and we run CSF in place of Plesk’s own Firewall, which conflicts with it, keeping Fail2Ban tuned alongside, or leave Plesk’s own Firewall in place and skip CSF if you prefer. We also know the Plesk licensing model, from the Web Admin, Web Pro, and Web Host editions to the issues that arise when a server’s IP changes, and we resell Plesk licenses, so management and licensing can land on one bill instead of two.
Where the work happens: the Plesk panel and the server beneath it, administered by senior admins.
Real Tickets, Real Fixes
Common Plesk problems we resolve
These are some of the Plesk tickets that reach our queue every week, with what it takes to resolve each one.
Let’s Encrypt won’t renew in Plesk
We trace why the extension’s renewal is failing, whether a Certification Authority Authorization record, a blocked .well-known path, internal DNS that does not match the public record, or a proxy in front of the host, fix the root cause, reissue, and confirm the panel and mail are covered as well.
The Plesk panel is unreachable on 8443 or throwing a 500
We connect over SSH, restart sw-engine and sw-cp-server, clear the disk-full or broken-extension cause, and repair the panel without locking you or your customers out.
NginX is returning 502 or 504 on a dynamic site
We correct the reverse-proxy configuration, covering the PHP-FPM pool, proxy timeouts, and any additional nginx directives, so Apache and nginx hand off cleanly and the site loads.
Fail2Ban or CSF blocked a legitimate IP
We unban it, tune the jail or firewall rule that caught it, whitelist your office and monitoring IPs, and keep brute-force protection on for everyone else.
A subscription is over its disk or traffic limit
We find where the space and traffic actually went, such as logs, mail, old backups, or a runaway app, recalculate usage, and adjust the Service Plan or clean it up without breaking the customer’s sites.
A site broke after a PHP version or handler change
We set the right PHP version and FPM handler for that domain, fix the php.ini and additional directives the app depends on, and test on staging before switching it live.
Mail isn’t sending or is landing in spam
We fix Postfix, set SPF, DKIM, and DMARC in Plesk, and cap outbound on any hijacked subscription so the server sends clean, properly authenticated mail.
A Plesk upgrade failed and left the panel half-updated
We run the Plesk installer’s repair from the command line, finish or roll back the interrupted upgrade, fix the broken package or micro-update behind it, and run the post-upgrade checks so the panel, the web stack, and mail come back consistent.
Plesk reports “Unable to connect to the database” or MariaDB will not start
We bring MariaDB back from the SSH side, clear the corrupt table, full disk, or bad my.cnf change behind it, repair the psa database if it is involved, and confirm the panel and every hosted site reconnect.
Plesk Backup Manager jobs keep failing or filling the disk
We fix the backup destination, whether local, FTP, S3, or a remote that is out of space or has stale credentials, set a rotation that does not fill the disk, and verify a restore actually works rather than only that the job ran.
“Thank you for keeping me updated and for your fabulous support today. I can see that my client's websites are running just fine and email services are back to normal. You (Alexander) and Edward have provided exceptional service, thank you again!”

Migrating to a new server? It’s included — order management as you normally would, then describe the move in your onboarding ticket. We manage the old and new server at the cost of one and cut over with a final fast-sync, so there’s no separate migration charge and no interruption for your users — the cutover is scheduled to land with little or no downtime, usually just a few minutes.
After signup you get a welcome email asking for Plesk root access, the names of anyone authorized to open tickets with us, an emergency contact list, and optionally your hosting provider login (for cases that need a reboot or hardware fix). Once we have access we set up monitoring and bring your Plesk server under management, usually within an hour or two, and then begin responding to alerts and tickets as they come in.
Most Asked
Is my information kept secure?
Yes. Credentials and other sensitive data go into the encrypted fields of our ticketing portal, and are deleted within 24 hours of the ticket being closed — any login data we send back to you is subject to the same deletion. Our production system runs in our locked rack at the PhoenixNAP datacenter, and you can change any of the passwords you gave us once the initial setup is complete.
Most Asked
Is your support 24/7/365?
Yes, and it has been 24/7/365 since 2005. Our monitoring watches your Plesk server around the clock and opens a ticket whenever something needs attention. Crashed servers reboot in under ten minutes, urgent tickets respond in five to ten minutes, and standard tickets in ten to thirty. Senior administrators cover every shift, every weekend, and every holiday: the same team and the same response times, with no overnight skeleton crew.
More questions
What is the average ticket response time and average ticket resolution time?
Standard tickets respond inside ten to thirty minutes, often faster. Urgent tickets respond inside five to ten minutes. Resolution time depends on the issue.
How many years of experience do your technicians have?
Every system administrator who touches your Plesk server has 8+ years managing production web hosting servers. Most have more.
How long have you been in business?
Since 2005.
Do you limit the hours of support per month a customer can use?
No. No ticket limits. No hourly buy-ins. No throttling.
Is there any fixed term contract?
No. Month-to-month.
What is your refund policy?
30-day money-back guarantee.
Are there any additional fees or setup charges?
No. $65 per Plesk server. 20% discount at five servers or more. Quarterly, semi-annual, and annual prepay discounts on top. Unlimited tickets. No hourly add-ons.
Do you backup my server as part of the server management?
Do you administer Plesk itself, or just the server underneath?
Both. We work as Plesk administrator in the panel and as root on the server — Service Plans, subscriptions, reseller accounts, and customer management in Plesk, plus everything at the OS level that needs SSH. The two go together.
Can you manage Service Plans, subscriptions, and resellers?
Yes — when you ask us to. We build or adjust Service Plans and add-on plans, scope reseller accounts and limits, and handle subscription creation, suspension, upgrades, and quota changes as the tickets come in.
Which Plesk extensions do you install and manage?
We install, configure, and maintain whatever your stack needs from the Extensions Catalog, including Docker, Git, Node.js, ImunifyAV, Cloudflare, the SEO Toolkit, Advisor, and the Let’s Encrypt extension.
How do you handle security and brute-force protection on Plesk?
We run CSF in place of Plesk’s own Firewall, which conflicts with it, with Fail2Ban jails on the panel, mail, FTP, and SSH, ModSecurity with a maintained ruleset, and ImunifyAV or Imunify360 for malware, and we work Plesk Advisor’s recommendations end to end. If you prefer, we keep Plesk’s own Firewall and do not install CSF.
What Plesk versions do you support?
All Plesk versions, on every Plesk-supported Linux distribution.
Which Linux distributions does Plesk run on?
Plesk supports the widest range of distributions of any panel we manage: AlmaLinux, Rocky Linux, RHEL, and CloudLinux, plus Debian and Ubuntu. If your servers already run Debian or Ubuntu, Plesk installs on them without a distribution change. We manage Plesk the same way on all of them, hardened and tuned to match, and on a new build we will recommend the distribution that fits your stack.
Which Plesk edition do I need, and is the license included?
Most of our customers bring their own Plesk license, and we manage the server on whatever license you already hold. Plesk comes in three editions: Web Admin for up to 10 domains, Web Pro for up to 30, and Web Host for unlimited domains; if you do need a license, we will sell you one at our cost so it stays a single bill, and we can advise which edition fits your domain count.
Can you migrate us into Plesk with the Plesk Migrator?
Yes. We use the Plesk Migrator extension to move subscriptions, databases, mail, and DNS from another Plesk server or from cPanel into Plesk, and we handle migrations from other sources by hand when feasible. There is no separate migration charge — we manage both servers at the cost of one until the move is complete. The final fast-sync runs just before DNS flips so end users land on the new Plesk server without an interruption.
If we are not the right fit, the 30-day money-back guarantee is the easiest check we ever sign. Month-to-month, no fixed-term contract on your Plesk server. Most hosting companies stay because they do not get burned again.
