A CustomBuild update or ./build is failing

DirectAdmin reports the license as invalid after an IP change

Usually the server’s IP changed or licensing cannot reach DirectAdmin. We re-point the license to the current IP, refresh it, and have the panel licensed again in minutes rather than after a long support exchange.

The Brute Force Monitor blocked a legitimate IP

We unban it, tune the BFM trigger thresholds, whitelist your office and monitoring IPs, and keep brute-force protection on for everyone else.

A user can’t send mail or it’s bouncing

We fix Exim, set SPF, DKIM, and DMARC, clear a BlockCracking or Easy SpamBlocker false positive, and cap outbound on a hijacked user so the server sends clean, properly authenticated mail.

The panel is unreachable on 2222 or the skin broke after an update

We connect over SSH, restart directadmin, fix the Evolution skin or template that broke, clear the disk-full or config cause, and repair the panel without locking you or your customers out.

A PHP version switch isn’t taking on a domain

We set the right PHP version for that domain through CustomBuild’s MultiPHP, rebuild the handler, fix the FPM or CGI config, and test before switching it live.

An account is over quota or a reseller hit a package limit

We recalculate usage, find where the space really went, whether mail, logs, or old backups, and adjust the user or reseller package without breaking the customer’s sites.

A site broke after a web-server or config change

We move the customization into CustomBuild’s custom templates so it survives the next rebuild, run rewrite_confs, and keep your overrides and DirectAdmin’s managed configs coexisting cleanly.

Let’s Encrypt will not issue or renew a certificate in DirectAdmin

We find what is breaking the ACME validation for that domain, commonly a CAA record, a redirect or proxy sitting on the .well-known path, or DNS that resolves differently inside the server, correct it, reissue through DirectAdmin, and point the hostname and mail services at the new certificate too.

Changes in DirectAdmin are not applying — tasks are stuck in dataskq

We clear the stuck dataskq queue, find the task or lock that wedged it, restart the directadmin service, and process the backlog so account creation, suspensions, and config writes start taking effect again.

An admin-level backup or restore is failing or coming back incomplete

We fix the backup that will not complete, whether the destination, disk space, or a single account that breaks the run, restore at the admin, reseller, or user level as needed, and verify mail and databases actually came back rather than only the files.

After switching to OpenLiteSpeed in CustomBuild, PHP or some sites stopped working
